the passenger’s promise
Yes I write fiction, but so many aspects are TRUE. Can you imagine being a passenger on a long (like everyday) distance ride in a stage coach? And holding a baby? Talk about bone and attitude adjustment. I loved the rocking journey back to Virginia City with the stop at Austin Station. And I love writing a good heroine on a mission and a desperate man who can let go of pride and make a new beginning. Supposedly Madam Bulette was a real hero in the rough and tumble town, my depiction of her was a hard-life business woman with a side of good sprinkled on top. The children are like little monkeys in my mind I have to get to paper, (quickly) before naps.
So this lovely model is Belle Moran. She was the perfect Naomi. Belle is the only daughter with 3 brothers. In real life she is sweet as her smile and loves the Lord.
